Our Garden

This is a combo post about our flower beds in the front and out vegetable garden in the back.
We planted daffodils we got from the daffodil festival a couple of years ago. They sprouted, but never bloomed last year. This year they did and they were beautiful.

Heidi loves to pull up on the garden and see what is inside. She also likes to pull at the plants and eat the dirt, so we try to keep her away.

Here you can see out pea plants growing up the trellis as well as a cute boy.
In the tall box we have carrots and next to it strawberries.  You can also see the peppers along the back by the slide and the garlic right in the front of the picture.
Harvest time!  We got a lot more peas than this, it was just the first picking.  We got more strawberries too.  We got a lot more this year than in the past (on strawberries that is).
The kids love to pick the carrots and then wash them off and eat them with the leaves on like little bunnies.
Our garlic harvest.
The nasturtiums I planted in the front.  I just threw some seeds in and didn't really expect them to come up, but they did and they're beautiful. There are sunflowers on the other side, but they haven't opened yet.
