On Saturday it was nice again (it had been rainy all week), so we decided to go on a walk down by the river. We have recently discovered a path that starts just before you get to the Big Dam Bridge parking lot. It is a nice walk next to an inlet from the river. It joins up with the main river trail eventually. We always see lots of wildlife. Here Thomas is looking at a toad.
We had Grandma, Grandpa, An'mere, Robert, and Aunt Jane over for Easter dinner. We enjoyed being together as a family. Thomas got his first Easter basket. His favorite part was the toothbrush. (Thomas loves toothbrushes and has a whole collection of them.) He also got some bubbles with a bunny wand. We all went outside and tried them out.
After he had gotten all of his goodies out, Thomas had fun making a mess of the grass and wearing his Easter basket. He was knocking on his basket as he wore it on his head. It was pretty funny.
As most of you know, there have been some pretty bad storms in the south recently. One of the tornadoes touched down very close to us on Monday night, but we were fine. We got to hang out in our safe place (the downstairs bathroom) for a while. The next day they were predicting it was going to be worse, so we went to David's work to hang out in one of their safe rooms (since it has a TV and computer). The storms ended up missing us, but it is those same storms that hit Alabama so badly. We are grateful we were safe and pray for those who have been affected.
