Spring Break

This year for spring break we decided to go visit two of my brothers. First, we went to visit Jason and Tina in Mason, Ohio (which is near Cincinnati). It was a 10 hour drive, but the boys did great! We had lots of fun with Jason's family. The kids loved playing with Thomas and Stuart. Taylor had a box that he was trying to find something to do with. Finally, he decided it was the perfect size for Stuart. We put Stuart in it and he enjoyed it because he was sitting up. Ellie and Nathan danced and sang for Stuart. They also liked to try to give him toys to play with. He enjoyed all of the attention. Thomas loved playing outside and downstairs with his cousins. They were good about sharing their toys and playing with him. We went to the park by their house and to a little indoor playground close by. On Tuesday we went to the zoo. Tina and the kids couldn't come because of school and Jason just met us for lunch. Thomas love the manatees and the white tigers. Tina took me thrift store shopping and to the half-price bookstore where we found lots of great books on clearance.

Thursday we drove from Jason's to Jacob's house in Savoy, Illinois (close to Champaign). We watched BYU lose in overtime on Jacob's little computer. We got to meet our new nephew, Levi, who is now six months old. Thomas loved playing with the train set that Benjamin had. We went to a kids' museum on Friday and they had a Thomas train set and Thomas just mostly played with the trains there as well.

Saturday we drove the 8 hours home. We figured it would take us 9 hours with stops, so we were a little shocked that it
took us almost 10 hours, even though we only stopped once for half an hour. After being home for about an hour we realized Thomas had changed the clock in the car during that stop and it was really an hour earlier than we thought. We really did make it in less than 9 hours.

It was a great trip and we enjoyed spending time with our family. Thomas loved getting to know his cousins a lot better and Stuart loved all the attention.
